Pillar & Sculptural Candles

Our pillar and sculptural candles are designed with beauty and detail in mind. Many are decorative statement pieces, but they can also be burned with proper care.

Before Lighting

Always place your candle on a heat-safe tray, plate, or candle holder before lighting.

Never place a sculptural candle directly on a tablecloth, wood surface, furniture, or any material that could be damaged by heat or melted wax.

Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each burn.

Make sure the candle is standing upright and on a stable, level surface.

Burning Your Candle

For the best experience, we recommend burning sculptural and pillar candles for shorter sessions, generally no more than 2–4 hours at a time, depending on the size and shape of the candle.

Because sculptural candles have unique shapes, they may burn differently from traditional container candles. You may notice:

uneven wax flow
wax pooling to one side
unburned decorative areas
dripping or melting along the exterior

These characteristics are normal for decorative candles and do not necessarily indicate a problem with the candle.

Always keep the candle centered and upright while burning.

Important Safety

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep candles away from:

children
pets
drafts
curtains
paper
greenery
flammable materials

Do not move a burning candle while the wax is hot or melted.

Discontinue use if the candle becomes unstable or if the wick reaches too close to the base.

Handmade Character

Every Featherand candle is poured and finished by hand in small batches.

Because of the handmade process, no two candles will be completely identical. Slight variations in shape, texture, color, surface finish, or decorative details are part of the character of a handmade piece.

You may also notice frosting, a natural crystal-like appearance that can occur in soy-based waxes. Frosting does not affect the quality or performance of the candle.

Color Variations

Small color differences may occur from batch to batch.

Fragrance oils and natural wax characteristics can also slightly influence the final color of a candle.

If you are ordering for a special occasion and need a particular color range, please contact us before placing your order and we will do our best to help.

Fragrance

Our candles are scented with carefully selected fragrance oils.

Fragrance strength may vary depending on the candle shape, size, fragrance selected, room size, and whether the candle is being burned or displayed.

Because sculptural candles are often designed with décor in mind, fragrance performance may differ from a traditional container candle.

Wax & Wick

Featherand candles are made with a soy + coconut wax blend and cotton wicks.

Our candles are hand-poured in small batches with attention to both appearance and fragrance.

Shipping

Estimated processing and shipping times may vary by product and season.

Typical shipping estimates:

Standard shipping: approximately 3–5 business days
Express shipping: approximately 1–3 business days, when available at checkout

If you need an order by a specific date, please contact us before purchasing so we can confirm whether your requested timeline is possible.

During high-volume periods, including the Christmas season, carrier delays may occur.

Please remember:

Ship-by date — the date your package leaves our studio.

Delivery date — the date your package arrives at your destination.

These dates are not the same.
